Dakin Natural Soils is committed to environmentally responsible concrete recycling and construction waste disposal that supports sustainable development across Southwest Florida. By accepting and recycling approved materials, we help contractors, landscapers, and property owners reduce waste sent to landfills while complying with state and local environmental regulations.

Florida regulations, including Florida Administrative Code Rule 62-701.730, encourage the recycling of Construction and Demolition (C&D) debris whenever possible. Our operations align with these guidelines to promote safe, efficient, and eco-friendly material management.

What We Accept for Recycling

We accept approved construction materials for FREE recycling when they meet our cleanliness and safety requirements.

Accepted Materials

  • Scrap Clean Concrete
Clean concrete includes concrete debris free of contaminants such as trash, wood, plastic, metal rebar protrusions, asphalt, or excessive dirt. Typical examples include broken driveways, sidewalks, slabs, foundations, and concrete blocks.
  • Roof Tiles
Concrete roof tiles are accepted when free of nails, metal fasteners, and excessive dirt or debris.

Accepted materials listed above are recycled at no charge, helping customers reduce disposal costs while supporting sustainability efforts.

Drop-Off Requirements & Safety Guidelines

To ensure safe and efficient operations, the following requirements apply to all drop-offs:

  • Safety First
Drivers must stop at the office and pick up a ticket before unloading each load.
  • Driver Responsibility
The driver is responsible for unloading materials safely and following all posted instructions and staff guidance.
  • Material Inspection
All materials are subject to inspection. Loads containing unapproved or contaminated materials may be rejected or subject to additional handling requirements.

Our Concrete Recycling Process

Dakin Natural Soils uses industrial-grade equipment to process concrete safely and efficiently. Materials are first crushed using heavy-duty equipment. The crushed concrete is then passed through secondary impactors and screening systems to remove dirt, fine particles, and contaminants.

Additional separation methods, such as magnets, separators, or water flotation, may be used to remove remaining materials and ensure a clean, reusable aggregate. This controlled process enables recycled concrete to be repurposed for applications similar to those of new materials, including base layers, fill, and aggregate uses.
